A TRIP ON THE "GIPSY ROUTE"

Nomad dance, music and culture from all around the world in the first Italian Festival inspired by the "Gipsy Route" with the gipsy flair giving a shake to Superstudio Più between October 29th and 30th through dance workshops, events, performances, art shows, local and International crafts.
Nomad Dance Fest is an original mix of sounds, colors and tastes to discover the roots of all those folkloristic nomad dances and traditions that reached our Country over the years.
The Nomad Bazaar is the heart of the show, a souk with original barbarian tents and odalisques serving mint tea and Arabian cakes, to enjoy dance performances, music, gipsy fashion shows and taste ethnic foods during the "nomad happy hour". BEAUTY AND WELLNESS AT ESTHETIWORLD

Three intensive days to discover all the avant-garde trends in the world of beauty. Dedicated to professionals of the sector, the 32nd edition of Esthetiworld – the International Meeting on applied aesthetics and dermatology - debuts at Superstudio Più between October 22nd and 24th.

THE INTERNATIONAL TEXTILE ART RETURNS IN MYOWNGALLERY

Following the huge success of the first ediction, Miniartextil "Energheia"opens in MyOwnGallery, two days before the official opening of Miniartextil, the most famous exhibition of contemporary textile art of Como signed by Arte&Arte and curated by Luciano Caramel.
From 22 until 27 of settember, during the White Fashion Exhibition, inside the MyOwnGallery a big and exeptional selection of minitextiles, tridimentional sculptures and spectacular large scale installations will be displayed, all inspired by the theme of the year: "Energheia".
Inside the well lit and spacious gallery rooms, are exhibited the tapestries by the Polish Wlodzimierz Cygan and by Joel Andrianomearisoa from Madagascar, the textile sculptures by the German Jens J. Meyer and the Slovenian Anda Klancic, the jacquard panel by Fabrizio Musa and the one realized with nails and threads by Mimmo Totaro, the artworks in scratched plexiglas by Filippo Avalle, the sculptures by the German Heidi Bedenknecht de Felice and the English Penelope Margareth Mackworth Praed.

WHITE AMAZES AGAIN

The international expo on contemporary fashion is proving once again to be the leader in the fashion environment by offering a new season full of novelties and surprises, with international élite brands, emerging designers, important cultural events and the exceptional presence of 356 performers in total.
Three major occasions to enjoy young artists. This year's big news is the White Lounge,  organized at Superstudio's Lounge room and where the emerging brands will be presented, and the Six Talents For White introducing 6 new talents in fashion designing (you can't miss the duo CO|TE) in the old Cappella Portinari in the S. Eustorgio Basilica and then the usual appointment with Inside White, a trampoline for new ideas and new artists ending with the Inside White Award, which will be assigned to the most innovative collection and that will be handed by a great designer.

FLAVIO LUCCHINI GUEST ARTIST AT COLORAMI (ABITAMI)

Black&White, Greige, E-Colours, see-through and light. Color, its use and interpretation, once a mere artist prerogative, is now being adopted by other worlds like Fashion, Sport, Food amd Design. This is the ambitious project of ColoraMi, organized by the Associazione Color Coloris and hosted in the new AbitaMi expo debuting at Rho Fiera between September 8th - 11th.

FLAVIO LUCCHINI AT BIENNALE DI VENEZIA, ITALIAN PAVILION, LOMBARDY

A special 2011, full of events and appointments for the artist Flavio Lucchini: a solo-exhibition in Venice, "What Women Want(?)", visited by more than 7000 people in the first week; also in Venice, the joint sculpture exhibition "Sign Off Design"; an archive-exhibition in Milan, "100artworks/ 20years archive", and the consecration with the participation to Italian Pavilion, Lombardy, 54. International Art Exhibition, Biennale di Venezia, curated by Vittorio Sgarbi, where the artist presents "Next Prada?", digital painting reworked (300x180 cm).

"My burqas are ghosts of a past which still lives on today and which apparently never progresses": Flavio Lucchini observes these mysterious women, who on the contrary, even beneath the apparently all-alike thick blue or black blankets, do not lose their individuality, their being concealed and segregated women, who nevertheless reveal a sensibility to details and an absolute vanity. Will burqas come into our world so much to become a designer label proposal?
In one way or another, those ominous veils trouble us and question ourselves. Once again, the dress makes the difference.

WHITE JUNE - A NEW CHAPTER IN THE WHITE'S HISTORY

New chapter in the history of White Homme, which this years aims to be like a "unisex" showroom/fair, between fashion, art, culture and design.
A new name, White June, which doesn't change the high quality of the project's and the location chosen, once again hosted at Superstudio, as its first edition.
This year, the project, carried out with the municipality of Milan/realized with the Milan municipality support, is born as an answer to current needs of the market: 193 exhibitors, presence of women's collections, research proposals by emerging designers related to the use of experimental materials, all enriched by the crosscut initiatives.

The new format debuts Saturday, June 18 with the opening performance by Antonio Marras at the Sacrestia and the Chiostro del Bramante, two locations never opened before to the world of fashion, and continues with the appointment of the June 20 "Il Giardino Segreto di Massimo Alba" during which the designer will reveal his creations for men and women in a suggestive setting accompanied by an exclusive soundtrack performed by young students of the Teatro alla Scala.
Contamination and synergies between fashion, art and design, key values ​​of Superstudio’s philosophy which White embodies as proved by the exhibition "Material World", produced in partnership with the magazine Case da Abitare, and the project "Car On Air", curated by the Anfiteatro Arte Milano gallery, with the works of three young contemporary artists: Guido Airoldi, Claudio and Andrea Carpita Onorato. 
To complete the offer of this edition of "La Tradizione, il Valore, il Bello", the third edition of the excellence of craftsmanship made in Italy, where Marsella, a brand focused on footwear research, is protagonist with the installation "Avant-Tradition"; the collection of Tonello, with a special design that combines fashion with art, and, furthermore, the Hugo Pratt’s collection inspired by the watercolours of Corto Maltese.

AN EXTRAORDINARY SUCCESS FOR THE VERNISSAGE OF THE EXHIBITION "WHAT WOMEN WANT(?)" BY FLAVIO LUCCHINI

More than 5000 people during the vernissage of "What Women Want(?)" by Flavio Lucchini in Venice during the 54. Biennale d'Arte, the solo exhibition about women images of burqas and niqabs, veiled looks of objectified women, big digital paintings, where the mouse replaces the brush.
Many reviews on some of the most influent art and fashion magazines, among which Lara Bohinc for Vogue UK, who defined the exhibition "my favourite of the day" and "a brilliant expression of not celebrity-related pop art". "Those veiled faces that become paradoxical cover images shake our moods, make us angry and they ask us to think about what is happening around us, in the Islamic world, in our suburbs, as much as in that "far" Middle-East that has never been so close" (www.daringtodo.com).
A performance outside the gallery involves the visitors: two girls wearing refined niqabs only show their eyes and, surprisingly, high heels, anticipating the exhibition inside the gallery. The show "What Women Want(?)" will be open until November 27th 2011, Riva San Biagio, Castello 2145, Venice, between Arsenale and Giardini della Biennale. A not to be missed exhibition.

YOGAFESTIVAL - ESCAPE IN ALL POSSIBLE SENSES

"Yoga helps to improve the quality of life". This is the claim that accompanies the fourth edition of Yoga|Festival in Rome, according to Giulia Borioli's words, creator of YogaFestival, born in 2006 at Superstudio, which, thanks to its successes, has been enriched over time with the editions of Rome and, this year, of Merano.
As the title suggests, the festival aims to broaden horizons and explore the world of yoga and oriental practices "in every sense": the three day of the festival are full of free classes, seminars, presentations, massages, areas dedicated to Ayurveda and special meetings called "Yoga Primi Passi" (Yoga first steps) aimed at newcomers of this discipline.
The program encompasses several disciplines: music, dance, cuisine, laboratories, sports, without neglecting the social.  YogaFestival is indeed a promoter, with the institutional support of Paolo Masini, city councilman of Rome, and with the aid of UISP Rome (Sports Italian Union), of the initiative "Evadere Dentro", a program for the prisoners of Rebibbia jail, an event which gained adherence beyond expectations.

FLAVIO LUCCHINI IN VENICE AND IN MILAN

An extraordinary event that brings in Venice a well-known artist from Milan's cultural scene. Flavio Lucchini, invited by Vittorio Sgarbi at the 54° Biennale di Venezia, Italian Pavilion, Lombardy in Milan, Palazzo della Regione, is in Venice during the Biennale with the project/exhibition What Women Want(?), curated by Alan Jones, that shows images of burqa and niqab, veiled gazes for the ironic magazine covers and the street-art version posters. Today these veiled women, much more objectified than those dressed up as dolls by fashion designers, represent the most controversial image of femininity, the symbol of a past which never fades but recurs in fact more peremptory and even seems to mark a path for the future.
Along with the solo exhibition, Lucchini also takes part in Sign Off Design, a joint sculpture exhibition curated by Luca Beatrice, where other famous artists and designers are present too (Denis Santachiara, Karim Rashid, Alessandro Mendini, Marc Sadler just to mention a few). Event produced by Slide Art, housed in the striking monumental cloister of SS.ma Trinità.
And also, the exhibition 100 artworks/20 years archive in Milan in MyOwnGallery, one hundred works from the beginning to the present: evolution of a path and archive of an artist's life, waiting for Italian Pavilion, Lombardy in Milan, Palazzo della Regione, vernissage June 27th.

PAOLO NUTINI FOR RANGE ROVER EVOQUE

An international launch for the looked-for Range Rover Evoque, the latest exclusive and refined creation of Land Rover. A global and interactive event, three concerts in three cities: Paolo Nutini, Scottish singer-songwriter on the crest of a wave, is playing in the Central Point at Superstudio Più in Milan, and contemporaneously Ce Lo Green on the Hudson in New York and Mark Ronson in the Bund in Shanghai. YOGAFESTIVAL LANDS IN MERANO

YogaFestival, the first and unique festival dedicated to this discipline, born in 2006 at Superstudio, thanks to Giulia Borioli's idea, achieved a new important milestone.
Riding the way of success since the first edition, and after the birth of the Rome festival in 2008, the YogaFestival | Merano first edition gets underway.
The marvelous setting of Kurhaus, one of the finest example of Art Nouveau architecture and symbol of the town, hosts meetings, conferences with the most renowned international and national Yoga Masters, practical classes, meditation and wellness for a three days immersion in this discipline.
Among the most interesting proposal session of Woga and Watsu at the famous spa of Merano, designed by the architect Matteo Thun.
The event involves the entire city and its sourrondings, with special holiday packages, yogic cuisine in the city's restaurants, Trekking Yoga on the surrounding Dolomites mountains and Yoga for Runners in the valley.
