Only a side event at Taste of Milan can combine expertly cuisine and fashion: the presentation of the book Cooking Couture, part of Taste and planned for May 31, 2013, at 7.30pm.
Prêt-à-porter, creative cuisine, art, art photos make up the mix at the base of this book, written and curated by Gisella Borioli and dedicated to the Italian excellences, food and fashion in the first place.
The style of 11 designers has been the starting point for the Michelin-starred chef Matias Perdomo, "master" of the Milanese restaurant Al Pont de Ferr, who invented many spectacular recipes by them inspired, in an ongoing cross-reference between fashion art and food. All built with great care of the images, both the ones made in studio by Giovanni Gastel, and those from the fashion shows by Piero Biasion. The series More Covers completes the presentation, 16 alternative
covers for the book built with many extraordinary images of Gastel.
