Temporary Museum for New Design/Special Projects.
Superstudio, with its two locations, is the largest and most important venue in Milan, which started the phenomenon of the Fuorisalone in Tortona area, today involving the whole city. An iconic location of great, internationally-recognized prestige. Temporary Museum for New Design is Superstudio's original and innovative project, a not-to-be-missed rendez-vous with global design, research, quality, innovation, great architects and young designers, international brands, experimentation and new tradition, the latest technology, the creative industries, the new generation, emotional exhibitions and actual business opportunities, tomorrow's products and projects.
For the 2014 edition, the Temporary Museum updates several special projects, with tailor-made spaces and solutions for any needs, from 2 to 1000 m² with ad hoc prices.
HOW TO JOIN IN:
- Download the Application Form above (on top of this page), fill it out and sign it then return it by email or by fax. Images of products/projects you intend to exhibit in 2014 Design week would be appreciated.
The Application is not binding, but it’s very useful to understand better your needs and follow with a space proposal.
- Selections are still open.
- The deadline to apply is 31st January; selections will continue until spaces are available.
- Selections will be made by an Artistic Board chaired by our CEO Gisella Borioli and Giulio Cappellini, in charge of the art direction.
The products must be recently designed, in the form of prototypes, life-size maquettes, holograms, projections.
The participation as exhibitors entails the payment of a participation fee, varying according to section, size, visibility, etc. Proposals for partnerships, sponsorships and co-branding operation will also be considered.

SUPERSTUDIO AND ITS TEMPORARY MUSEUM FOR NEW DESIGN: THE STEPS
1983 Gisella Borioli and Flavio Lucchini, journalists, entrepreneurs and creative, open Superstudio 13 in Via Forcella 13 , the first major photographic studios center for fashion and photographic services for the image. Sign in society photographer Fabrizio Ferri (leaving in 1987)
2000 Gisella Borioli and Flavio Lucchini opened in the former headquarters of General Electric, 27 Via Tortona, Superstudio Più, the first major private location for fashion, art and design exhibitions, cultural, artistic, start-ups, unpublished and innovative events
2001 The first exhibition held in Milan FuoriSalone, during Milan Design Week in April, was born at Superstudio Più in Via Tortona 27 , thanks to the initiative of Gisella Borioli, in collaboration with Giulio Cappellini
2002 Design / Fuori Salone in Superstudio spreads at Superstudio 13, creating the first circuit in the district
2009 Transformation of the Design event in the Temporary Museum for New Design, project by Gisella Borioli with the art-direction of Giulio Cappellini. Great brands and museum installations
2010, The Temporary Museum for New Design opens towards new talents with the section Discovering
2013 More areas to the research: here comes Freedom, small spaces for creative extended projects, with the possibility of direct sale and on-line marketing
2013 the Temporary Museum for New Design is invited to Dubai, in the new Downtown Design exhibition as an example of Italian creativity
2014 Temporary Museum for New Design attracts international initiatives and development abroad.
