a space for ideas

So many as 453 are the fashion-brands of White Milano, on stage from 20th to 22nd of September in Tortona District, beginning from Superstudio Più, the historical location. The fashion show is as always a crucible of ideas for new styles and, with 155 new entries, it reconfirms to be the excellent promoter of young talents, with an incessant scouting work.
This edition's special guest is the the belgian brand Filles à Papa and, among new entries, the japanese sneakers Losers, the parisian footwear  Paris in Paris and the vintage-glam collection designed by Giuliette Brown & Filippa Lagerback.
Among Italian news, the craft-designer Ermanno Gallamini stands out.

TIME CONTEMPORARY BRAND AWARD contest, is the key initiative, carried out in cooperation with the Fashion Buyers Italian Chamber  involving small excellence contemporary brands, in an original project between innovation and tradition. The two winners (one for clothing and one for accessories) will be presented in the best Italian multi-brand stores and will have a special section in the upcoming White editions.

Among Hollywood stars and Italian VIPs, Superstudio hosts the exclusive Sky event. Many guest of honor attend the presentation of the new show schedule, welcomed by Alessandro Cattelan on a large stage beneath mega screens.

From her first solo exhibition in MyOwnGallery in 2012, Superstudio's art gallery, Laura Zeni has made her way. Today, as an artist and designer arrives at Triennale with the "Coltivare la mente" exhibition, by Fortunato D'Amico.

Zeni's continuous research analyzes the theme of nature in relation to contemporary human being and makes the society aware towards a positive evolution, where technology and the natural world are balanced. The works on show, made entirely by eco-friendly  material, are followed through a series of interesting conferences on human-nature theme. Among design objects, "Ritratti Interiori" and installations, the artist looks deeply into eco-sustainability and nutrition.

Inaugurated by the Information Day on Emirates, the new congress hall of Superstudio Più, is installed in the elegant Lounge of the glass building overlooking the "square of the Events" of the complex. Large bright lobby of 100 square meters, hall of 400 square meters, equipped with a platform, projector, audio, technical basic services, chairs for up to 300 people, the space is ready to be customized with ease. Bar and restaurant adjacent for lunch or catering in the hall.

They are talking about fashion, art, sustainability at SuperOrtoPiù's Roof transformed by the artist Michelangelo Pistoletto into a green oasis of culture, events, exhibitions and debates. Cittadellarte Fashion B.E.S.T. and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana will present on the 23rd of June at 4pm “The Fashion Rebirth” – The Sustainability Show and the Third Paradise  together for the 'Fashion Rebirth'". A debate for workers, young designers, schools, press and buyers, dedicated to fashion and not only as aesthetics but also like ethics.
Other than the well attended return of the master Pistoletto, the speakers will be Mario Boselli and Jane Reeve, respectively President and AD of Camera Moda, Andrey Vasilyev, vice executive secretary of UNECE, Mauro Rossetti Textile and Health director, Rosella Ravagli of Gucci and  Alessia Corsetti of Valentino.

The Middle East, is the region of opportunities, energy and "to do", where the age average goes just beyond thirty years old.
An exponential increasing marketing, with great business opportunities for small and medium sized enterprises that want to get international but who most of the time don't know where to start from or to who entrust concretely.
The "SMES: United Arab Emirates, how and why", created and produced by Superstudio, ended with success and the close participation of 200 companies who followed the 12 professional Italian speakers that work in the Emirates, of which Antonello Martinez, representative in Italy for Dubai government, d3 Dubai Design District and ICE Italian Trade Agency.
From tax break to the new pole of design, to free area legislations passing through frenzied Dubai, Rak, the most hand-crafted productive district and the cultural pole of Abu Dhabi.
The information day ended with Superstudio's presentation of the DUBAIT project, from October 2014, a connection bridge between Milan and Dubai, as the information point and facilitator for business initiatives, events creations, participations to fairs, product distributions, show-room research, legal advice and other opportunities in the Middle East and in North Africa.

It ended with the cutting of the cake in the garden the Information Day on the United Arab organized by Superstudio to tell about the opportunities in the Middle East but also to launch Dubait, accompanying project to develop business in the "new world", operating on site since October .
Refreshments for 200 guests was centrifuges and bio juices of Just Juice with four "formulas" mix created for the occasion, and an amazing "Dubai" cake decorated with the iconic "Sail", and created by  Stefan Krueger chef for Cookery Lab, which has proposed a brand new recipe "refrigerant":  a parfait consists of a  pistachio ice-cream, hazelnut with a Bavarian orange gelee topped with a pistachio Bavarian.

He is one of the most acclaimed photographers of our times for fine art, advertising and fashion, well-known for surreal images and for overstated research as well as for technical experimentation.
David LaChapelle is back at Superstudio 13 on the 6th of June and presents in exclusive his new project "Land Scape", within the great Phase One event, top worldwide leader company for medium size photographic equipment.
No celebrities nor hollywood stars this time, but urban post-industrial landscapes, refineries reproductions made by top pattern makers from Los Angeles using recyclable materials, among which plastic bottles, straws, cans and hair curlers, subsequently photographed by LaChapelle, in various locations in California.

An Information Day at Superstudio Più, 11th June, to explore all possibilities of expansion in the Arab Emirates for small and medium Italian enterprises in the promising time between Expo Milano 2015 to Expo Dubai 2020. An exceptional parterre of speakers, italian professionals already working in the Gulf area, who relate their experience of successful Expatriates and are at the invited guest's disposal. Gisella Borioli, journalist and CEO of Superstudio and Ettore Mazzotti, journalist and director of MF International and Lombard, Class Editori will lead the meeting. The day will begin with the special participation of Antonello Martinez, lawyer in charge of Expo by Dubai Government and will end with Tecom Dubai, one of the Gulf's most important investment and development companies. Limited number of participants.

MIA Fair is back at Superstudio Più, the international art fair dedicated to photography and video, where 180 italian and international exhibitors will likewise present artists, following the unique and original formula "a stand for each artist - for each artist his own catalogue".

Not only 180 solo exhibitions to visit, but also a rich programme full of news and confirmations among which the master's lecture by Hans Op de Beeck and various talk shows with protagonists of the international artistic scene, among which, just to mention a few,  Francesco Bonami and Urs Stahel.

Great expectations for the video installations that will be held at the Basement "Parlando con voi" (in eglish: talking to you) with the support of AFIP International and CNA with Superstudio's collaboration, that narrates life and the career of 30 Italian photographers, from the beginning of the century until today. And furthermore, the video art and music performance with  Irene Grandi and the video artists Pastis.

The Design Boulevard, giant white trees in green flattered pots, that welcommed visitors during the last Design Week at Superstudio Temporary Museum, is now in Piazza Castello in Milan, to inaugurate with the best design the new pedestrian area of the city.
The installation, which again consecrates Superstudio as a "maker" of projects and events for the city, is the brainchild of Gisella Borioli  and realized by Slide  using a rotational technique. The  flowers "My Flower" are   Flavio Lucchini art-works, the pots "Il Vaso" are designed by Giò Colonna Romano, the armchairs are designed by Marcel Wanders.

TASTE is back at Superstudio Più, where top Chef and restaurants create an experience journey of Italian and International cuisine for every taste, but always in the name of quality.
New flavours, and various  cuisine styles this year more eco-friendly, with cooking methodologies at low environmental impact.

An unexpected and poetic oasis, hanging on Superstudio's roof, among the sheds in Via Tortona: Michelangelo Pistoletto's SuperOrtoPiù has been a thrilling surprise, getting exciting reviews by national and international art and design visitors, press and tv that witnessed its creation and growth over the recent design week.
And these are the numbers that made such project real: 128.000 kgs of soil, 768 of tuff stone bricks to build the "Terzo Paradiso" logo, 560 mts of lawn roll.

A project in progress, by Fortunato D'Amico's expertise, that will be kept alive until June and all through the Expo.

S.Pellegrino brings the art of good cuisine on stage at Temporary Museum for New Design, with an event never seen before: five days of live show in a special installation that will host top Italian chefs. Two shows a day, in which the chef of the day creates on stage his own idea of spaghetti  for the public to taste.  On Wednesday 9th, Massimo Bottura will start off the performances that will end on Sunday 13th together with Davide Oldani. Protagonists of the week: Luigi Taglienti, Alessandro Negrini and Fabio Pisani, Enrico Cerea. Special event on wednesday 9th, on stage with Davide Scabin exceptional guest actor Pierfrancesco Favino, brand's international testimonial.
